To build community within the parish through activities that appeal to a variety of age groups. With parish participation, we strive to make the parish at large a welcoming community.
The Community Life group supports a number of regular activities, such as:
1. Welcome tables for newcomer registration the first Sunday of each month.
2. Creating social events to welcome newcomers to the parish
3. Working to support our numerous parish socials and receptions, including: annual fall parish picnics,
funeral receptions, after-Mass receptions on special events, St. Patrick’s dinner, and more.
The Community Life ministry also supports our active parish Widow and Widowers Group, which creates regular social events for those who have lost their spouses. These activities include dining at local restaurants, potluck dinners around such events as Mardi Gras and Oktoberfest and group trips to theater presentations.
The Community Life Board meets the first Wednesday of each month, 7 p.m. at the Pastoral Center, 3233 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.
